Selecting the correct apparel size.

Our Gooby apparel is both functional and fashionable, great for everyday wear during cooler seasons and walks around the neighborhood. As with any product, choosing the correct size is important. If the right size is not selected and fitted properly for your dog, it may reduce both the fashion and the function. In addition, just like people, dogs comes in all shapes and sizes, even within the same breed.

Due to these factors, while we at Gooby do our utmost to design with consideration of sizing for a broad range of dogs, there is a possibility you may find that the apparel you've selected may not fit as well as you'd like even if your dog's size is within the sizing guidance. As such, please consider the following for additional guidance on selecting apparel that fits properly.

1. Proper Measurement
   1. The main size consideration is the chest, neck, and body length measurement: How do I measure my dog?
   2. Does your dog have a thick coat or a lot of hair? How you measure may end up giving different results. If you measure with too much consideration of the hair or coat, you may find the size you selected to be too big or loose. If you measure to the skin and select a size based on that measurement, the size you select may end up being too snug.
2. In-between Sizing
   1. If, once you have measured your dog, you find that his/her measurement falls between 2 sizes, we would recommend sizing up.
   2. There are some exceptions to this recommendation, mainly with our Stretch Fleece products. Depending on how in-between is the measurement, sizing down may be appropriate. Please contact a Customer Service Specialist for additional assistance.
3. Selecting a Size
   1. When selecting a size, we highly recommend using the size chart provided in each product page. The size charts will be more accurate than using weight or age of the dog breed.
   2. If the chest measurement suggests a different size than the body length measurement, we recommend deferring to the chest measurement.
   3. Gooby does not use global sizes, due to design variances between products. Please note this when shopping between products. Why are the sizes different between products?
