Which Gooby Harness is Right for my dog?

For Detailed Guidance

Every Gooby harness that we produce have different functionalities, so choosing the right harness takes some consideration.

Our harnesses breakdown into two basic categories, Step-in and Head-in:

  • Head-in harnesses are exactly what the term says. The harness is placed over the head and then the legs are placed into their respective holes.

* Step-in harnesses, in contrast, do not require being placed over the head. They are placed on the ground (or other flat surface) and the dog's legs are guided into the leg holes, and then the harness it pulled up around the dog to clip on. This is a great option for dogs who are not comfortable having harness pulled over its head or if they are sensitive to their feet being touched.

From there, there are number of options based on design function:

  • Escape Free® : Our patented Escape Free® harnesses are designed from for dogs who have a tendency to escape by backing up. (Is the Escape Free® harness truly escape free?)
    • Escape Free Easy Fit - Our most lightweight version that is easy to put on and easy to adjust.
    • Escape Free Sport - Features 4-point adjustment for more adjustability and a neoprene body for extended outdoor use.
  • Comfort X : Our Comfort X harnesses have a patented choke free X-frame design that prevents choking, which can lead to tracheal collapse. Recommended for dogs who are pullers.
    • Comfort X Dual Snap - Replaces the traditional clip with snaps that are easier on the fingers and rotates with the movement of your dog.

From there, if you desire more comfort for your dog, consider the Memory Foam harnesses:
